It’s time to start thinking about the16th annual x-country ski weekend at La Petite Rouge, which will take place January 18- 20, 2013 and is being co-coordinated this year with the Ottawa Time Out Hiking group. To ensure that to keep all the beds that have been set aside for the group, please get your deposits in by Friday, October 19, 2012 at the very latest. (Note that registrations will be accepted in the order in which deposits are actually received; some years, all spots have been filled early, so the sooner you can get your deposit in, the better.)Total cost of the weekend is $224.25. This includes 2 nights’ accommodation and 6 meals, from Friday supper through to Sunday lunch, as well as skis, snowshoes and skates, for those who do not bring their own.
The deposit required is $60 per person. DEPOSITS ARE 100% NON-REFUNDABLE.
The balance of $164.25 is payable upon arrival at Petite-Rouge on January 18, 2013. Note that Petite-Rouge accepts only cash or cheque; credit cards are not accepted.

Not mentioned in the website is the traditional Saturday-nite dance–at which costumes are … strongly encouraged. The costume theme this year is “Anything that Starts with ‘S’ “. Let your imagination run wild! Please note that the procedure for deposits has changed somewhat this year: rather than sending your $60 deposit directly, please mail a cheque (not cash) to the order of “Centre touristique la Petite Rouge” before October 19 to the following address:
