RRCL Mentorship Program

Build Skills. Share Experience. Grow Community.

Registration will be available on this page on September 18.

The Rainbow Rockers Curling League (RRCL) is piloting a new Curling Mentorship Program for the 2025-2026 season! The program pairs experienced curlers with teams (not individual players) who want to improve their skills, learn strategy, and feel more connected to the league. This is not a formal coaching program, it’s about sharing curling knowledge, offering encouragement, and building community in a relaxed and supportive way.

How It Works

  • Teams only can sign up as mentees if they’d like support during the season.
  • Experienced players volunteer as mentors to be paired with a team.
  • The Player Development Lead will match mentors and mentees based on experience, goals, and scheduling fit.

What to Expect

Mentors will:

  • Connect with their team early in the season to understand goals. Watch at least one game per round and offer informal feedback.
  • Share insights on curling strategy, technique, etiquette, and league logistics.
  • Be available for questions and light-touch guidance throughout the season.

Mentee Teams will:

  • Identify what they hope to learn or improve.
  • Proactively connect with their mentor for advice and feedback.
  • Reflect on guidance and incorporate new ideas into their play.
