The Rainbow Rockers and the Q-Ball league will march together in the Capital Pride Parade on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Please join us in the parade to hand out candy, carry banners and to wave to the crowd! Marchers should meet no later than 12:45pm at the parade staging area (near Gladstone and Bank). To help us maintain the curling spirit as we move into summer please join us for Bocce Ball and a BBQ.
Never heard of Bocce Ball? Not a problem! This game of “summer curling” is fun, fast and easy to learn. Let’s see if our players are as good on grass as they are on the ice!
This event will be held at 221 North River Road (near the Cummings Bridge and where Rideau Street becomes Montreal Road), the home of our league treasurer Steve on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 6:15 p.m. sharp, games start at 6:30 p.m. Please note that there is no parking on River Road, please park on side streets.
Bocce games will be played on the lawn of the park across the street along the Rideau River and we will be serving a BBQ, including vegetarian options. The cost is $10 per person which includes BBQ burgers, sausages, salads, snacks dessert and soft drinks/juices. BYOB but please make sure you arrange for designated drivers or public transport.
Bring your friends, partners, and any new or prospective league members to give them a chance to get to know our group. Members of the Executive will be on-hand to meet people and answer questions.

Please join us for Euchre and Games Night after our next Saturday games on January 25, 2014. Partners, family and friends are welcome!Registration at 8:00 p.m. Games start at 8:30 p.m. sharp Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at the Ottawa Curling Club.
The format will be 6 games, with cash prizes going to the top winners and to the player with the most lone hands as well as a 50/50 draw and several other fun prizes throughout the night. We will also have Rummoli (a fast and easy game to learn) set up for play for those who prefer not to play Euchre.
Cost for entry is $20 for Euchre and $10 for Rumolli, which includes snacks. The club bar will be open.
