Hello LGBTQIA+ curlers! I wanted to make sure you saw that the registration for our inaugural Over the RainbowSpiel LGBTQIA+ bonspiel has now opened, and we’d be absolutely thrilled to welcome our friends from the north to the event!
While we’re finalizing our event poster (hopefully this week), here are the details and links you can share with your communities.
- June 3-5 with first draw at 6pm Friday and last draw at noon on Sunday
- 24 team, open format bonspiel with A, B, C, and D events and 3 game guarantee
- Lunch and Dinner provided on Saturday, Brunch on Sunday
- Drag performance and amateur drag/costume contest Saturday evening
- Karaoke on Saturday night
- Raffles, basket auctions, and other curling games to raise money for a local LGBTQIA+ organization
- Masks optional, open to all with proof of vaccination for COVID-19
