The 26th Anniversary edition of the Pac Rim Bonspiel is scheduled to run January 30 to February 1, 2009! It is a challenge to follow-up from such a tremendous Silver Anniversary Event in 2008, but the Planning Committee is hard at work to bring you another fabulous event.
The Pac Rim Bonspiel will be limited to a total of 32 teams. Registration is open on December 1, 2008 at 12 noon. Make sure you register early to secure a spot. Registration forms can be found on the website at www.prcl.ca. Sign up as a Team or individual.
Teams are guaranteed a 3 game minimum, cash prizes, Old Farts Cup competition, Awards Banquet, Survivor Party, and more! Watch for regular updates on the website.

The OVCA Mixed Bonspiel is being held January 15-18, 2009 at area clubs.
There are three divisions: Open, Senior, and Recreational (for teams with at least 2 players who are new to bonspiels). The OVCA has asked for a couple of teams to from our club enter this fun event. Please note that there is no curling on December 14th or on December 28th, and resumes on Saturday, January 3rd.
The Christmas Funspiel and banquet will be held on December 21st.
Congratulations to Teams Gallant, Mantha, Taylor, Nixon and MacDonald who all participated in the Rotators Bonspiel in Toronto November 22-23, 2008.
A special note goes to Team Gallant who were B Event Finalists, Team Mantha who were D Event Champions, and Team Taylor who were D Event Finalists.
This year the Rainbow Rockers Curling League (RRCL) will be hosting it’s annual Over The Rainbow Bonspiel (OTRB), March 27-29, 2009.

Members-at-large: Anyone interested in helping out but not linked to a specific area identified above
Meetings will take place approximately once a month, with regular updates requested by the Committee Co-Chairs via email. The first meeting will take place at noon, Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 at the Ottawa Curling Club.

May 3, 2008: Rainbow Rockers at the Ottawa LGX
The 2008 Lesbian and Gay Expo will take place Saturday, May 3 from 10am-4pm at the Jack Purcell Community Centre. The Rainbow Rockers will be there to spread the word about the great sport of curling. Drop by and say hello and be sure to visit the many community groups, gay positive businesses and advocacy organizations.
