End of Season

It’s April… and although it may not feel like it, it’s time to wrap up another season of Rainbow Rockers curling.  Remaining draws take place Sunday, April 7, Tuesday April 9 (6:00 PM) and Sunday, April 14 (1:00 PM).  All Round 3 games must be completed and scores recorded by April 14 at 5:00 PM.

Rainbow Rockers members who are also members of the Ottawa Curling Club are encouraged to attend the Annual Spring Meeting on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 PM followed by the Roy Blair Bonspiel draft and Calcutta.  The Rainbow One consortium will be back in action that evening to bid on teams competing in the Roy Blair.  Come enjoy the fun!

End of Season Curling & Banquet – Sunday, April 14, 2019
This season’s closing banquet will be held on Sunday, April 14.  To close out our curling season, members are invited to sign up to play a six-end recreational game at either 3:00 PM or 5:00 PM.  Players sign up as individuals and are placed on a team.  This is a great way to meet new people and play other members you may not have had a chance to curl against during the regular season. 

The closing dinner features Roast Beef with potato, veggies, salad and rolls.  An ice cream sundae bar will be offered for dessert.   Following the banquet, champions will be crowned in each of the divisions and ALL teams take home cash!  Lots of bonus prizes and extras too!  

The cost for the event is $20 for full-time members and $30 for spares and guests.  On Sunday, April 7, you may register in person after your game or by sending an e-mail to Colin. The deadline to register is April 10 (space permitting).  Please indicate if you would prefer a vegetarian meal or have any food allergies. 

Registration for the 2019-2020 Season
Full-time members have the opportunity to register and pay the $50 deposit for the 2019-2020 season at the closing banquet.  Members can register as a team or as individuals. If you do not have a full team but wish to curl with one or two other people, then please specify this on your registration.  Registration forms are available on the website.  Please complete and bring with you to the banquet.

If you cannot attend the banquet, completion of the registration form and payment of the $50 registration deposit is required by May 15, 2019 to confirm your space.  Information will be available on the website. 

After May 15, registration will be open to spares and new members.  Registration forms for new full-time members will accepted before this date, but will be considered tentative and subject to space availability.
